Kaneka Malaysia marked 30 years at its plant in Gebeng, Kuantan.
The celebration was officiated by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang, with the Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia among the guests of honour.
The venue was built for the day. An air-conditioned marquee went up inside the plant compound over nine days, with a stage, a 10-metre LED screen, sound, lighting and its own power supply.
The build took place inside a working industrial plant, under the plant's safety rules.
On the day we managed the programme: the arrivals, the addresses, the launch at centre stage and the luncheon that followed.
